We’re finally coming to the end of 2020 and it’s been a truly epic year of challenging and life-changing events. As we turn our attention to the holiday season and begin to reconnect with family this too can feel like you’re facing a field of emotional landmines. Given our current political environment and the immense polarization of passionate views and beliefs, the usual discussion around the dinner table may be filled with an unexpected level of tension.

In this short clip, Koelle speaks to the courage that is required for each of us to make a conscious choice to stay engaged in these difficult conversations by asking open questions and doing our best to cultivate curiosity. When we set aside our need to prove our points we can agree to disagree but more importantly, we can intentionally develop and restore the awareness of our shared humanity.
